C. Ellen Hart makes drawings, paintings and mixed media collage. A third generation artist, Hart earned her BFA in Painting at the University of Houston in 1985, winning a Sarah Campbell Blaffer Scholarship Award in 1984.
Since that time she has exhibited in California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Texas, Virginia and Washington DC. While living in the Washington, DC area Hart was elected a Resident Artist at the Arlington Arts Center and a Fellow of Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.
Recently Hart's work has been exhibited at Buchanan Gallery in Galveston, Texas and Studio E Gallery in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Hart is pleased to be living and working in Houston again after several years in Washington, DC and St. Louis, Missouri.
